Terms and Conditions

Airthrill Terms and Conditions for Participation in Activities

Airthrill Terms and Conditions apply to all bookings made with Airthrill. All members of the party should be made aware of, and accept, these Terms and Conditions. Airthrill reserves the right to make changes and amendments to these Terms and Conditions at any point.

Groups are requested to arrive in good time for their jump. Groups arriving late may not receive their entire time within the arena.

Health and Safety Advice

Any persons using the trampoline/inflatable facilities must complete a Waiver Form prior to their participation. Where someone is under the age of 18, this Waiver Form must be completed by a Parent/Guardian.

Activities involving trampolines are not without risk, and misuse may result in serious injury or even death of the service user or fellow service users. Health and safety for all our users is our priority. For these reasons, all participants must watch our safety video and review all rules prior to their participation and on every subsequent visit.

Our general rules and safety video specific to each venue can be found on our website as well as on our premises.

Participants should only jump within their own abilities and must be in good physical condition. If in any doubt as to your ability to use our facilities, please seek advice from your GP.

It is important to appreciate that our trampolines and inflatables are subject to a maximum weight limit of 110kg/17.3 stone, as directed under the guidance of the manufacturers.

If pregnant, you are advised to seek the advice of your GP before participating in trampolining due to the inherent risk of injury and unpredictable contact with third parties.

Contraindications for Participation:

It is not recommended to participate in trampolining if you have any of the following conditions:

  • Have circulatory conditions
  • Have heart or lung conditions
  • Are recovering from recent surgery
  • Have any back or neck conditions  (including a rodded back and brittle  bones)
  • Have high blood pressure
  • Have a spine, musculoskeletal or head injury

The Equality Act 2010

Airthrill is an equal opportunities employer and service provider. We are therefore dedicated to ensuring, where possible, that all service users can benefit from the fun and enjoyment of our parks.

We aim to offer a safe, fun, and inclusive experience for all our customers. However, for certain customers with specific needs, there may be restrictions regarding the use of certain types of equipment on the important grounds of health and safety, as trampolining is considered a high-risk sport.

In such context, it is important to appreciate that any restrictions on use are solely to protect all service users from possible injury. Before setting any conditions or restrictions on use, we have actively considered what reasonable adjustments can be put in place to avoid or minimise any such conditions or restrictions. We are committed to making our facilities open and accessible to all service users where possible.

All our adventure parks are equipped with disabled access and disabled lavatory facilities.

Carers for people with special needs are always welcome. Our team will be available to assist you in any way they can, ensuring you have the best possible experience.

We also ensure that all our staff are trained in important and sensitive issues regarding disability access.

We regularly monitor the latest medical information and professional guidance, and we undertake risk assessments when setting out our conditions of use. We are committed to making reasonable adjustments where possible to ensure all users can access and enjoy our facilities.

If you have any questions or queries regarding access to our facilities, please speak to our staff or management at the park in the first instance. If speaking to our staff does not resolve your question or query, please email: customerservice@airthrill.co.uk.

British Gymnastics Association and Active Indoor Leisure Association

The British Gymnastics Association (the National Governing Body for Trampolining and Gymnastics) and the Active Indoor Leisure Association (the National Trade Body for Trampoline Parks) have both released health and safety guidelines for customers with special needs.

For the health and safety of all our users, Airthrill follows these national recommendations.

Customers with Dwarfism

People who have Achondroplasia and some other forms of dwarfism may have an exaggerated lumbar lordosis (curvature of the lower back) and spinal stenosis; these two factors increase the jarring forces through the spine on impact.

Due to these physical characteristics, people with dwarfism should not attempt gymnastic skills where there is the potential to put pressure on, or cause impact to, the head or neck.

Both the British Gymnastics Association and Dwarf Sports Association advise that people who have Achondroplasia or another genetic skeletal dysplasia (forms of dwarfism), should not participate in trampolining.

Customers with Down’s Syndrome

It is possible that certain customers with Down’s Syndrome may have Atlanto-Axial Instability (Instability within the vertebrae in the neck).

Furthermore, children with Down’s syndrome may be more susceptible to injury due to their unique physical characteristics, such as possible lower muscle tone, joint hypermobility, and decreased bone density. These factors can increase the risk of fractures, sprains, and other injuries.

As a result, the British Gymnastics Association has released specific guidelines for customers with Down’s Syndrome.

Such guidance requires written approval for participation in trampolining that is signed by the service user’s GP or Paediatrician before taking part in any trampolining activities.

This guidance is supported by a number of Down’s Syndrome Associations, including Down’s Syndrome Scotland and the Down’s Syndrome Association.

Customers with Autism

We offer sessions specifically aimed at customers with ASD. These are known as ASN sessions and can be booked online.

Customers with Epilepsy

Flashing lights might be used in some jumping sessions, which may affect some people with epilepsy. Customers with uncontrolled epilepsy will be asked to obtain their GP’s approval for trampolining and other forms of sports participation.

Trampolining should only take place when the service user is accompanied by a person aged 18 years or over, who must have knowledge of the condition and be able to recognize an attack.

Trampolining should NOT take place if a person with uncontrolled epilepsy feels unwell or if trampolining is known to be an epilepsy trigger.

Advice Before You Bounce

  • Airthrill Gripper socks must be worn by ALL participants at all times while on the trampolines.
  • Children under 5 should jump in the designated area and must be supervised by a parent/guardian/responsible adult at all times.
  • One adult can accompany a maximum of two under 5s.
  • To ensure the health and safety of all our users, children under the age of 14 and individuals requiring additional assistance cannot participate in the Activities unless they are accompanied by a parent, guardian, responsible adult, or appropriate carer.
  • The parent, guardian, responsible adult, or carer must remain on-site for anyone under 14 years of age or anyone requiring additional assistance.
  • One adult is permitted to supervise a maximum of ten under-14-year-olds.

Airthrill staff will not supervise children, regardless of the child’s age, or anyone with special needs at any time.

For participants under the age of 18 or participants who lack capacity, a parent, guardian, responsible adult, or carer is required to complete and sign the Waiver Form on behalf of the participant, stating that they will accept responsibility for the safety of themselves and for the supervision of any children or individuals requiring additional assistance in their care.

We ask that all participants wear appropriate clothing during their visit, and we reserve the right to refuse entry to individuals who are dressed inappropriately.

Participants are requested to remove all jewellery, belts, and watches before bouncing. Pockets must be emptied, as loose objects can pose a hazard should they fall out during their trampoline session.

Mobile phones are not to be used by anyone using the trampolines. Spectators are welcome to take photos/videos.

Anyone found causing wilful damage to the facilities, fixtures, or fittings within the park will be asked to leave and may be asked to pay for the damage caused.

Anyone found acting aggressively or abusively to any of our service users or staff will be asked to leave.

Airthrill accepts no responsibility for loss or damage to personal property while visiting the site. Vehicles parked within our car park are parked at the owner’s risk, and Airthrill takes no responsibility for loss or damage, however caused.

Airthrill reserves the right to refuse admission to individuals and groups if we reasonably believe that allowing admission will cause damage, harm, or distress to people already within the site or the site’s facilities. The Duty Manager’s decision is final in these cases.

Airthrill reserves the right to change or cancel activities at any point and with no notice.

Booking Confirmation

A booking will only be classed as confirmed once a confirmation email has been sent from Airthrill. You must let us know, as soon as possible, if there are any mistakes in your booking confirmation. Latecomers may not be permitted to jump, and no refunds will be offered in these circumstances.

Refunds and Cancellations

  • Individual bookings are non-refundable and non-transferable.
  • Where an individual decides not to participate, is not allowed to participate, or is asked to cease participation, no refunds will be made.

In the case of a birthday party and/or a group booking of 9 or more people, you must give us a minimum of 14 days’ notice to the site you booked with so that we can look for an alternative date. If cancelled within 14 days, you will not receive an exchange or alternative date.

Airthrill shall be entitled to cancel your booking at any time. In the event that Airthrill decides to cancel your booking  it shall use its reasonable endeavours to notify you as

soon as possible. You shall be entitled to a full refund in the event of cancellation under this clause, but no other compensation shall be payable.

If an event outside of Airthrill’s control occurs before the commencement of the Activity which means that Airthrill is not able to provide the Activity which has been booked, then the booking is refundable by means of an offer to transfer to another date and time or a credit note for the value of the booking which can only be redeemed at the same venue the original booking was made.

Payments made by debit or credit card will be refunded to the same card. No refunds will be given for transactions made by gift vouchers.
